Things to Do in Ravello

Ravello sits high above Amalfi on a ridge, trading beach access for some of the most sweeping cliff-top views on the entire coast. Its two great gardens, Villa Cimbrone and Villa Rufolo, frame the Gulf of Salerno through terraces, statuary, and an Infinity Terrace that has become one of the coast's most photographed lookout points. The town has a long musical heritage, having hosted a summer festival inspired by Wagner's visits to Villa Rufolo, and its quieter pace makes it a favorite half-day escape from the busier towns below.
